The holidays are here and many of us find our focus shifting to friends, family, and creating holiday magic. While all of that is important, at Catered by Design, we believe the holiday season is also a time to reflect on things we are grateful for and give back to our community. That’s why, in addition to providing delicious catering, we are dedicated to helping our neighbors in need. We believe it is important to think about others who may be struggling, act with kindness, and make an impact where we can this holiday season.
For more than two decades, Catered by Design has brought your events to life in the Chicagoland area, and as an active member of our local community, it is our civic duty to provide resources where we are able. Over the years, we have hosted toy and food drives and partnered with Heartland Alliance, and now JOURNEYS | The Road Home, to donate meals during the holidays. To continue the tradition of giving back, we are pleased to announce that we are also donating to Stroll Magazine Park Ridge’s annual bake sale this winter!

Fall Donations
This Thanksgiving, we donated to JOURNEYS | The Road Home, a local non-profit that helps provide vital services to people experiencing housing and food insecurity in the Chicagoland area. We are happy to relay that your catering orders from this Thanksgiving, in combination with our own donation as a company, helped feed over 50+ individuals this Thanksgiving! It is incredibly important to us that we share the love of food with others when we are able, and we were able to do so much more with your support. Winter Donations
To spread the love even further this holiday season, we will also be donating holiday cookies and cakes to Stroll Magazine Park Ridge’s annual bake sale. All of the proceeds go to the Kiwanis Club of Park Ridge, which will help fund mental health kits at local high schools. The Kiwanis Club is an international organization dedicated to improving the lives of children by focusing on health, enrichment, and betterment. We hope those in the local area are able to stop by, do some good, and get some delicious treats! Learn more about Stroll Magazine’s bake sale here!

If you’re hosting during the holidays, we want you to enjoy time with your loved ones instead of spending it all in the kitchen. Let us bring the merriment to your dining room table for Hanukkah, Christmas, and the New Year’s celebrations! Catered by Design’s winter holiday menu is a great fit for any holiday occasion, combining home-cooked flavor with convenience. Orders can be picked up or delivered hot or cold (with heating instructions) until 2:00pm on Wednesday, December 24th, 2025. Just be sure to place your order by 12:00pm on Thursday, December 18th, 2025, to lock in your catering order!
